Community Outreach and Services
Mission: To serve our community by offering food, fellowship, basic hygiene items and clothing, resources, and our hearts.
Epoch Arts Food Pantry
The Pantry is a component of our Hungry Hearts Program. We offer client choice food options in a humble setting where people meet weekly not only to shop, but to fellowship with each other and build community. Our goal is to give out enough food to each family to last two-three days; fresh produce, meat, canned goods, bread etc. We are open every Thursday from 9:45-12:45 and are a volunteer run Pantry.

History
Our Food Pantry was created to provide vulnerable students with food and proper nourishment on a weekly basis. Sending students home with food from our own homes, sharing a weekly meal after classes, and inviting the homeless in to sit around our table are examples of our humble beginnings. Today, we have grown to a point where we now have a dedicated space to house our pantry. We offer Thanksgiving Boxes, Art Days and help with additional needs to our clients. There are no forms to fill out, just the number of people in your household. Our Food Pantry is a partner of the Connecticut Foodshare. For more information go their website, https://ctfoodshare.org/

Packs of Love
Packs of Love is a component of Hungry Hearts. Every fall, our students work with the Connection in Middletown to help serve the Eddy Shelter and Hallie House. The Eddy Shelter is an emergency homeless shelter for single adult men and women in Middlesex County. This is a non profit organization. The Hallie House Hallie House for Women and Children offers a residential treatment for pregnant and parenting women who are in need of substance abuse treatment. Services include life skills training, counseling and more.

Little Free Food Pantry
Epoch Arts is honored to be the recipient of an original, home-made "Little Free Food Pantry.” Joey from Boy Scouts Troop 8 headed up this project, researching and designing, to ensure the safety of this little pantry. The pantry is located down by Helping Hands ministry at Epoch Arts. Feel free to take what you need. To help re-stock the pantry, email Elizabeth Namen at elizabeth@epocharts.org
